Job Description
Customs House Brokerage Manager (50K-80K) (JO-180418-152368)
Work outline: Manage Custom House Brokerage team, review documents import documents and cooperate with concern Departments
Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitor all the activities handled associated with Customs House Brokerage (CHB).
Planning & procurement of CHB as per customer requirements
Execution of all file management activities / HS Code Classification
Documentation and CHB procurement as applicable
Arrange license for STL for customs clearance service. / Check all license related to import & export customs clearance for importer & exporter.
Update customs regulations & other related regulations for customs clearance in both import and export business.
Provide the right solution as to arrive at the minimum cost at the same time ensuring required service levels specific to each business.
Verify adherence of practice to the SOP & create/modify as appropriate.
Prepare & maintain operational contingency plan.
Meet up with the Customer Service team members on a regular basis to identify the list of critical customers and review operations performance on a daily/ weekly basis. Present any opportunities & challenges.
Control recording, analysis & action plan for improvement customs clearance service continuously.
Carry out monthly / quarterly formal reviews.
Maintain relations & conduct regular review meetings with internal departments such as Customer Service teams, etc.
Work with forwarding team on continuously improving processes, procedures to heighten productivity, timeliness, quality and compliance.
Qualifications:
[Must]
Thai Nationality, male/female, age 40 years and above
Bachelor in management with specialization in International Business or Business Management.
At least 10 years’ experience in the Freight Forwarding sector, with at least 3-5 years’ experience in managerial level
Experience in Customs operations across all the logistics products & processes- Sea, Air, VAS including Trucking, Warehousing, Over border and Cargo-Insurance
Custom specialist certificate holder
Solid understanding of the Customs and Excise Act
Good command in spoken and written English
Good computer literate
Able to drive a car with license and own vehicle
Preferable:
Working experience in Import/Export and Forwarder is preferred.
Experience in forwarder companies handling shipment of medical devices, automotive spare parts 2nd or 3rd tier, plastics, and chemicals.
Master Degree (preferred) in management with specialization in International Business
If any the experience of shipping field would be advantage.
